Crucial to a proper understanding of how cannabis affects the human brain is recognizing the fact that the brain was made for cannabis.

Cannabinoids help bridge the gap between brain neurons, which are known as synapses, acting in ways that help positively regulate brain chemistry.

When used appropriately, cannabis can help individuals break bad habits or learn new things.

One source refers to cannabinoids as the "grease" that keeps the brain in tip-top shape, enabling mental growth and positive change.

If you think of your brain as a computer hard drive that is constantly being imprinted with new information in the form of magnetized particles, cannabis and its associated cannabinoid constituents are the organizing and formatting tools that the drive uses to erase bad data, rearrange and reconfigure important data, and maintain and optimize the drive.

In other words, cannabis is what helps keep certain parts of the brain tidy and well-performing.

*** Seriously first timers ***

But this step can be really scary so for the last living human on earth that's never tried cannabis heres a safety hint.

Before trying a cannabis product for the first time, grate the peal of a lemon and then squeeze it into a glass,

keep that over night in the fridge ready as a "OK I tried this and I don't like the head space and I want out now" pill.

Trust me this works ... if you are that last person ... and no matter how many millions of people have proved it doesn't do any harm, you still have reservations this will flattern any cannabis stone or 'head space' ... so try canabis if you want ... with a friend you trust ... tell them ... the truth ... and by all means have that pharquen glass of "head-stone-flattener" ready because within minutes of drinking that lemon you are as straight as.

I'm offering this as a serious warning to Stoners, don't do that it leaves you straight as all night ... look under cannabis_synergy

*** seriously first timers ... you'll be fine, take it slow, with a organic medium range THC product, with a friend you trust ... and the lemon works but you'll never use it. ***

Again Stoner ... a small amount of that lemon has a beneficial effect #%@&*

Unlike alcohol, tobacco, amphetamines, cocaine and heroin, cannabis doesn't interfere with the body's natural production of dopamine, a foundational characteristic of drugs that induce physical dependence (addiction) and have the potential to be abused.

Cannabis exhibits no reinforcing properties, and the brain does not appear to have any cannabinoid receptors in dopamine-producing neurons.

! Cannabis is chemically unlikely to be addictive !

Studies of hospital patients leaving long term opiate pain relief showed that 80% of those who used Cannabis had No Addiction Symptoms

and needed no treatment for addiction on leaving.

Cannabis is divided into two main strains, Indica and Sativa, but in reality it's a synergy between CBD and THC that makes the attribute.

CBD lowers THC effect by using it's charictor to muliply the CBD effect by 10 times.

THC is the High Octane Fuel for that 'anti-cancer CBD 800hp Chevy V8' so if you want to move some seriously large cancer cells use a High CBD with a High THC organicly grown whole herb ... your head space will be fine ... it self regulates ... there will be no harm. and when you turn the corner I want a personal smile please.

The State Owned Enterprise Minister needs a firm hand with a mature attitude and a wealth of wisdom behind them.

Did you know China is filing medical patents on Cannabis right now, meaning if we don't move fast we'll be paying China for rights to process our own medication, 2700 B.C.E and already owning 309 of the 600 world wide medical patents on Cannabis says they can easily pull that off

Meaning that if The State Owned Enterprise Minister can get his shit together quickly, New Zealand could be filing patents of our own, otherwise we'll be paying China for patent rights for the next 100 years.

While you're out at the beach you could inform The State Owned Enterprise Minister of That.

You may also mention the opportunities going to China in Hemp.

Brief Resent History of Cannabis 5000 BCE

Prior to 1927 here's what's known of Cannabis.

The Cannabinoid System has been around for over 600 million years.

Oldest known records of 'hemp farming' go back 5000 years in China, although hemp goes back to ancient Egypt. +

2700 B.C.E: The first written record of cannabis use is made in the pharmacopoeia of Shen Nung, one of the fathers of Chinese medicine.

China recently excavated a 2700-year-old Caucasoid shaman grave (GPS coordinates: 42° 48.395' N, 89° 38.958' E; elevation, 58 m) with 789g cannabis. In NZ 2018 that Caucasoid shaman would be charged with Supply - 'Dead or Alive and do 2 years'

2000 BCE. Tonics made with hemp seed, saffron, mint and beer were given to women Ancient Mesopotamia during a difficult childbirth.

550 B.C.E: When The Persian prophet Zoroaster wrote the Zend-Avesta, (a sacred text which lists more than 10,000 medicinal plants). Hemp Is at the Top of the list.

Writings from 9th century Persia explain that '…An intranasal base preparation of juice from cannabis seeds was mixed with a variety of other herbs to treat migraine, calm uterine pains, prevent miscarriage, and preserve fetuses in their mothers’ abdomens.'

For thousands of years, 90% of all ships' sails and rope were made from hemp. The word 'canvas' is Dutch for Cannabis ... Webster's New World Dictionary

The War of 1812 was fought over hemp. Napoleon wanted to cut off Moscow's export to England; Emperor Wears No Clothes, Jack Herer.

The first crop grown in many US states was hemp.

1850 was a peak year for Kentucky producing 40,000 tons.

Hemp was the largest cash crop until the 20th Century; State Archives.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson GREW HEMP; Washington and Jefferson Diaries. Jefferson smuggled hemp seeds from China to France then to America.

Benjamin Franklin owned one of the first paper mills in America and it processed hemp.

It was legal to pay tax with hemp in America from 1631 until the early 1800s; LA Times, Aug. 12, 1981.

Refusing to grow hemp in America during the 17th and 18th Centuries was against the law! You could be jailed in Virginia for refusing to grow hemp from 1763 to 1769; Hemp in Colonial Virginia, G. M. Herdon.

Henry Ford's first Model-T was built to run on hemp gasoline and the car itself was constructed from Hemp. Ford 'grown his hemp in the fields on his own estate, it had hemp plastic panels whose impact strength was 10 times stronger than steel. Popular Mechanics, December 1941.Dutch for cannabis; Webster's New World Dictionary.

Quality paints and varnishes were made from hemp seed oil until 1937. 58,000 tons of hemp seeds were used in America for paint products in 1935; Sherman Williams Paint Co. testimony before Congress against the 1937 Marijuana Tax Act.

In 1916, the U.S. Government predicted that by the 1940s all paper would come from hemp and that no more trees need to be cut down. Government studies report that 1 acre of hemp equals 4.1 acres of trees.

80% of all textiles, fabrics, clothes, linen, drapes, bed sheets, etc. were made from hemp until the 1820s with the introduction of the cotton gin.

DID YOU KNOW 1925 The League of Nations cause Cotton, timber and oil to replaced Hemp even though Hemp is eight times stronger than cotton and more air-permeable, 1 acre of hemp = 4.1 acres of trees and motor fuels made from hemp are cheaper with NEUTRAL CARBON EMISSIONS.

Brief 'plain speak' about your body.

Like our communities, Our Bodies are made of millions of Cells.
Within our cells are millions of mostly ignored creatures called Mitochondria.

(Sounds "Mito - kond - ria ") So learn how to say it and have some Fun, use "Mito - kond - ria " in a sentence to your doctor and watch his jaw drop ...

or at parties you could say "Oh my 'Mito - kond - ria' are telling me I've had enough to drink now" then facebook the blank faces :-| ... come on live a little.

Brain cells for example, may have thousands of Mitochondria where as bone cells may only have hundreds but rest assured the Mitochondria outnumber us.

Reality is We are a Tubular Organism, made of millions of cells each having thousands of Mitochondria.
Of All the DNA in our body/tubular organism, ONLY 2% (of that DNA) is actually Ours …
The Rest of the DNA (in our bodies) belongs to the 'Mitochondria' with whom we live in a symbiotic relationship.

The main benefit of looking after the Mitochondria (who live only days) is that they carry out the function of regulation of cellular resources and corrective events such as the immune system, thus control Our LONGEVITY.

If you wish to assume they're 'Your Mitochondria' feel free, but you should acknowledge the Mitochondria of Your Body, in fact why not take a quiet moment to say 'Hi ya' (and love them) because because not loving them carries a Death Penalty and no law parliament passes can alter that … the Mitochondria in Your Body will say 'Bye Bye' to you … they out number you like the sands of the sea (over 100,000,000 to 1)

In a normal happy cell the Mitochondria put out 'Receptors' (happy hands) for things they want to keep the cell healthy and able to live that way for over 120 years worth of Longevity …
For example: the Mitochondria in a cell may see it's resource of 'vanilloid' low and so they'll put out 'Vanilloid Receptors' so as the blood flow supplies pass, more vanilloid will be gathered to that Cell.

In the unfortunate immune event that a Cell becomes Inflamed, (lets call her 'C' ... and any other Auto-Immune DisOrder) the Mitochondria of that Cell put out what scientists call ''Cannabinoid Receptors'' … (this is as opposed to 'Radiation Receptors' which funnily enough The W.H.O. have no folders containing records of Mitochondria putting out Receptors for 'radiation' … )

Testing (Stacey References See Submission Exhibits ) Has Proven that Cannabinoid's in the form of Cannabis have Exactly the correct balance and synergy to quieten Inflammation and Restore Law and Order in Cells.

Cannabis use has No effect on Mortality:
A massive study of California HMO members funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) found Cannabis use caused no significant increase in mortality. (American Journal of Public Health. Vol. 87 No. 4, April 1997. p. 585-590. Sept. 2002)

Did you know that: Mothers give their babies a booster shot of cannabinoids in mothers milk? This gives them the munchies because they have to learn to eat, and without cannabinoid receptors the tongue won't contract causing the first suck.

Cannabinoids slow down the aging process. Mice that their brains respond to cannabinoids live longer and mice that have brains that block the CB1 receptors die younger. Mice lacking the CB1 receptors don't like any changes. If they are moved to another part of the cage they act upset and when they are put back to the original spot in the cage they relax, but if then put into another part of the cage they get upset again.

A translation in Old Catalan of IbnWafid’s work, indicated that hemp seeds, when eaten in great quantity, liberate maternal milk and treat pain of a menorrhea.
(Lozano1993; personal communication, 2002).

Grigor (1852) also examined the role of tincture of Cannabis indica in facilitation of child birth.

In 9 cases, little was noticeable, but in 7, including 5 primiparous women (p.125):
I have noticed the contractions acquire great increase of strength and frequency immediately on swallowing the drug, and have seen four or five minutes the effect ensued;...

when effectual it is capable of bringing the labour to a happy conclusion considerably within a half of the time that would other have been required...
I have not observed it to possess any anaesthetic effects...
I consider the expulsive action of the cannabis to be stronger than that of Ergot, but less certain in its effect... nor have unpleasant consequences, so far as I have seen, appeared after wards.

The first citation of its use for uterine hemorrhage in modern medicine is probably from Churchill (1849), and its discovery for this indication was apparently serendipitous (p.512):

We possess two remedies for these excessive discharges, at the time of the menses going off, which were not in use in Dr. Fothergill’s time [18th century].

I mean ergot of rye, (LSD) and tincture of Indian hemp (THC)....

The property of Indian hemp, of restraining uterine hemorrhage, has only been known to the profession a year or two.
It was accidentally (RE)discovered by my friend, Dr Maguire of Castleknock, and since then it has been extensively tried by different medical men in Dublin, and by myself, with considerable success.

The tincture of the resin is the most efficacious preparation, and it may be given in doses of from five to fifteen or twenty drops three times a day, in water.
Its effects, in many cases, are very marked, often instantaneous, but generally complete after three or four doses. In some few cases of ulceration in which I have tried it on account of the hemorrhage, it seemed to be equally beneficial.

Alexander Christison extended the work of Churchill and applied Indian hemp to the problem of child birth (Christison1851), offering the following (pp.117-118):
Indian hemp appears to possess a remarkable power of increasing the force of uterine contraction during labour...
One woman, in her first confinement, had forty minims of the tincture (way2much) of cannabis one hour before the birth of the child. The osuteri was then of the size of a shilling, the parts very tender, within duration around the osuteri.

The pains quickly became very strong, so much so as to burst the membranes, and project the liquor amnii to some distance, and so on the head was born.
The uterus subsequently contracted well.

Another, in her first confinement, had one drachm of the tincture, when the osuteri was rigid, and the size of a half-crown; from this the labour became very rapid.

Another, in her first confinement, had also one drachm of the tincture, when the osuteri was the size of a half-crown.
Labour advanced very rapidly, and the child was born in an hour and a half.
There were severe after-pains. (2 much 2 fast … ask him if it was his wife)

Shortening of the [pain] interval was in general a more conspicuous phenomenon than prolongation of the pain.

It is worthy of remark, that in none of these cases were the ordinary physiological effects produced; there was no excitement or intoxicating action, (bummer;-) and there did not seem to be the least tendency to sleep in any of them.

...While the effect of ergot does not come on for some considerable time, that of hemp, if it is to appear, is observed within two or three minutes.

Secondly, The action of ergot is of a lasting character, that of hemp is confined to a few pain shortly after its administration.

Thirdly, The action of hemp is more energetic, and perhaps more certainly induced, than that of
There appears little doubt, then, that the Indian hemp may often prove of essential service in promoting uterine contraction in tedious labours.

Wright (1862) specifically noted the benefit of cannabis in relieving vomiting of pregnancy.
In an initial letter, he discussed the case of a woman where all other available remedies had failed (pp.246-247):
“In a patient of mine, who was suffering to an extent that threatened death, with vomiting, I found the vomiting completely arrested by cannabis indica, given in repeated doses of three grains every four hours, until several doses were taken.” He later revisited the issue in a subsequent article (Wright1863), and explained (p.75), “Cannabis indica does not paralyze the nerves, but strengthens them directly. It does not constipate by paralysis it cures by beneficent virtues.”

Sir John Russell Reynolds was personal physician to Queen Victoria, and it has been widely acknowledged that she received monthly doses of Cannabis indica for menstrual discomfort throughout her adult life.

Cannabis is often called a 'gateway drug' however a model developed by RAND Corp. researcher Andrew Morral demonstrates that these associations can be explained 'without requiring a gateway effect'. Morral AR, McCaffrey D and Paddock S. Reassessing the Marijuana Gateway Effect. Addiction. December 2002. p. 1493-1504.
The only Gateway Effect concerning Cannabis is the Gateway Law Enforcement agents have to enter a life where no harm has been committed.

The White House had the National Research Council examine the data being gathered about drug use and the effects of U.S. drug policies. NRC concluded, ''the nation possesses little information about the effectiveness of current drug policy, especially of drug law enforcement.'' And what data exist show ''little apparent relationship between severity of sanctions prescribed for drug use and prevalence or frequency of use.'' In other words, there is no proof that prohibition – the cornerstone of U.S. drug policy for a century – reduces drug use. National Research Council. Informing America’s Policy on Illegal Drugs: What We Don’t Know Keeps Hurting Us. National Academy Press, 2001. p. 193.

Research done in 1974 that was meant to connect cannabis and cancer found the opposite ... that it slowed the growth rate of 3 different types of tumors. THC it was found, inhibits the enzyme necessary to activate the carcinogens.
The DEA shut the research at the Medical College of Virginia down.

Since then it has been found to prevent and treat, leukemia, lymphoma, glioma pheochromocytoma, and cancers of the breast, prostate, skin, lung, treats gout, worms, tumours and inflammation control anxiety, depression and pain.

Auto-immune disorders

Auto-immune disorders, the bodies immune cells produces free radicals & is destroying it's own body as a foreign object.
Cannabinoids are found in the white blood cells (CB2 receptors). The CB2 receptors are found predominantly on immunological cells and regulate the shift in the immune system to the anti-inflammatory mode & helps slow the progression of that disease, (thereby slowing down the aging process.)
Cannabinoids kill the bad cells and protects the good ones.

Cannabinoid receptors give cells the tools they need to defend against HIV infection.
Researchers have reported that when healthy cells were placed in a sample dish with a human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), along with a dose of cannabinoids, the cells, which normally would , rather quickly become infected, simply denied entry to the virus, and responded as if it were not a threat at all.
The stimulation of the receptors wasn't just detrimental to the AIDS virus, it increased the cells abilities to defend itself against any number of viruses and bacteria.

Cannabinoids dilate our brochial tubes and help asthsma sufferers to breath both in and out. Studies in 1977 where "AEROSOLIZED THC" was used on patients. Cannabinoids protect the heart against Arythmia.

Cannabis protects nerve cells from dying thus protects against Altzheimers Disease.
Cannabinoids protect against sunburn and skin cancer because of the CB1 receptors in our skin.

… The way it works on pain is there is specific nerves that deal with pain. They are called vanilloid-Receptors. Anandamide (sanscript word for "Blissful Amide"), the bodies internally produced cannabinoid binds with the nerve endings, reducing pain.

Seizures are controlled by Cannabis not only the THC, but non-psychoactive cannabidiol.

Cannabinoids control everything in our bodies including our minds.

The main cannabinoid receptors are in the higher part of our brain.
Brain function study of 150 depressed people Cannabis protects the brain against healthy cell death and it also protects Neurons.
THC in low doses relieves anxiety.

Cannabis promotes sleeping better and normal persons when they are deprived of Cannabis would have difficulty sleeping. When ingested, delta 9 THC, on the first pass thru the liver, changes into delta 11 THC. Five times as psychoactive and much longer lasting.

Heavy Cannabis use as a young adult

(Offered with reservations stated below)
Veterans Affairs scientists looked at whether heavy Cannabis use as a young adult caused long-term problems later, studying identical twins in which one twin had been a heavy Cannabis user for a year or longer but had stopped at least one month before the study, while the second twin had used marijuana no more than five times ever. Cannabis use had no significant impact on physical or mental health care utilization, health-related quality of life, or current socio-demographic characteristics. Eisen SE et al. Does Marijuana Use Have Residual Adverse Effects on Self-Reported Health Measures, Socio-Demographics or Quality of Life? A Monozygotic Co-Twin Control Study in Men. Addiction. Vol. 97 No. 9. p.1083-1086. Sept. 1997

(Reservations: ANY Stimulant administered regularly at a young age (under21) sets the stage for the brain to desire A Stimulant to work thereafter. However that would also apply to Sugar, Coffee, Energy drinks etc:-( … so simple fact is this generation is now lost without a Stimulant.

If you know what you're looking for, you can tell the approxinate age someone began taking a Stimulant by what age they act like when stressed.

However After 21 years activity in the evolutionary advanced areas of the brain is increased in cannabinoids receptors and promotes higher consciousness levels.
